Beware of Haters
When you strive to become successful, you'll notice some of the people around you will become jealous. It's important to separate yourself from these people. It's even more important to not let them steal your joy or enthusiasm for success! Often times, it's those who cannot or won't try for their own success that will hate on yours. Misery LOVES company. Make sure you keep these people out of your focus on your journey to your own personal success. Nobody wants to get left behind as the "failure." Just remember, they will unfortunately inevitably exist. But it doesn't mean you have to feed into their failure and jealousy. :-)
ONTO THE NEXT!

Reinventing Yourself & Exterminating Negativity
Lately I've noticed that I've had a harder time than I've had in the past to get and keep myself motivated when it comes to getting in shape and taking care of myself. It seems like it becomes harder and harder each day I ignore the obvious steps I need to take to get myself in line! After some self reflection, I realized that I've surrounded myself by a bunch of negative people. From work to home, the crowd around me doesn't seem to have the most inspiring outlooks on life. I never really realized how much this can affect a person and their progress with respect to their own personal goals.
Starting today, I've made a commitment to myself to keep myself motivated and inspired by surrounding myself by POSITIVE people and POSITIVE influences. As you travel through self discovery and self improvement, being positive is probably one of the most important steps in achieving your goals.

Do WeRq!
I'm excited to say that I'll be training with sports trainer extraordinaire Burke Spencer tomorrow doing a lil back/bi work. Burke is a long time friend who trained my ex boyfriend throughout college and during his time playing professional basketball overseas. He's a very knowledgeable trainer who tells it like it is and brings his no nonsense attitude into the gym...and also practices what he preaches. He's definitely not your "fat trainer" smh. You can check out more info on him on his website at www.burkespencer.com
So that's what's going on with me...looking forward to my workout with him tomorrow and heading to the gym in a lil while to do some hamstring/calf work. Ooooo also, gonna go buy Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 (yes I know I'm late) tonight on my way back from the gym and take out whatever left over aggression I didn't expense while working out :-) Happy Hump Day!

Be True 2 YOU!
Interesting... I have been going through some transitions in my life and have been trying to "think outside the box" and do things that have always been "out of character" for me to do. In doing so, I've realized... the reason why they are out of character is just that...it's not ME to do those things. Overall, I've embraced a lot of great things from this new direction my life is taking me but as for some of it... I'm happy to say... I'm just not THAT type of girl :-)

Hottie Reader Feedback :-)
I know, I know... it's been awhile since I've posted (smh)
Again, I promise to be better :) I've been really busy with some personal and professional projects and haven't had the time to sit down and blog but some time has opened up so now I will be able to dedicate a little more time to the blogging excitement woohoo!
Over the weekend I received an amazing email from a dedicated blog follower that I wanted to share with all of you. It's always very inspiring to hear feedback from your readers as everything I put into this blog is essentially for them! So I welcome these messages as they completely bring a smile to my face and make this whole blogging experience, well worth it!

Hi Leilani,
I read your posts on your blog and found them to be very helpful for someone like me. I need the honest truth, not the pretty lies that most people prefer to give. I almost bought that Insanity dvd, thank goodness I didn't. After reading your blog I'm really not going to buy it now. My problem with dieting is the consistancy part. I have a new role model in you. I found you by searching Paselio. My mother's maiden name is Paselio so that is why I was searching it. You are beautiful and I am proud of how successful you are. I will continue to read your blogs to help me on my weight loss journey. My goal is to post an awesome picture of me on my fb page once I get to where I want to be. Thanks for your blog. I truly love reading it.=)

Recession Depression
I know things have been crazy lately with the economic crisis and I'm not sure how many people are UNaffected by it all but to all of you who are, keep your heads up! I'm in the same boat, forcing myself to remain positive at times just so I can keep things afloat. Just remember, where there is a will, there's a way. I'm thinking of you all today, we will prevail! :)
